Data Usage
A small amount of local data, kept on the device.
This page explains what the Android app stores and where it stays.
What is stored
The app saves learning progress and quiz results in a local database, and preferences such as language, theme, text size, and animations in local app settings. No personal information is included.
Learning progress data
Progress data can include completed lesson IDs, completion dates, last opened lesson, reading progress, completed challenges, favorite items, quiz scores, correct and wrong answer counts, and recent learning activity. This lets the app show continue learning, course progress, quiz averages, and progress summaries.
Preference data
Preference data can include selected language, light or dark theme, text size, and whether non-essential animations are enabled. These settings are stored so the app can open with the experience you selected.
Educational content data
Courses, lessons, quizzes, glossary terms, practical challenges, tips, and diagrams are bundled locally with the app. They are copied or seeded into local storage when needed so the app can work without downloading content.
No network use
The app does not use the internet. It has no internet permission and contacts no server, so app data is never uploaded or sent anywhere by the app.
No device access
The app requests no runtime permissions. It does not access location, camera, microphone, contacts, photos, files, or device identifiers.
No third-party data services
The app does not use Firebase, advertising SDKs, analytics SDKs, crash-reporting SDKs, remote configuration, push notification services, or cloud databases. There is no backend account or external service connected to learning progress.
Device backup
Your device system backup or phone-transfer feature may include local app data. That process is run by Android and controlled in device settings; it never sends anything to VRSTY.HQ LTD.
How long data stays
Local data stays on the device until it is removed by you or by Android app storage management. Resetting learning progress removes progress-related records while keeping the educational content available.
Website preference data
This website may store only language and theme preferences in the browser local storage on your device. This is used only to remember how the website should display and is separate from the Android app.
Clearing your data
Use Reset Learning Progress, clear the app storage from Android Settings, or uninstall the app to delete local app data.
Summary
CineStart Academy stores only what it needs to run the offline learning experience: content, progress, quiz results, favorites, and preferences. The app does not transmit that data, sell it, share it, or use it for advertising or tracking.
